SENATOR EKWUNIFE FOUNDATION PARTNERS UNTAPPED EXPLORE EXPLOIT ON ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT*
Senator Uche Ekwunife Foundation has partnered with a capacity building organization known as UNTAPPED EXPLORE EXPLOIT on entrepreneurial development. The foundation which was founded by the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife PhD, is focused on empowering lives and building human capital.
The event which was designed to run between Friday, July 23, 2021 and Saturday, July 24, 2021 with its theme: Positioning for Opportunities With Relevant Knowledge, Key Skills and Digital Technology was aimed at training young entrepreneurs (start-ups) on building a sustainable business, Practical Guide To Starting A Business, Key Skills For Today's Jobs and Income opportunity amongst others.
The facilitator of the training, Mr. Amobi Okeke said that running a business is very beautiful, adding that he is speaking from an informed position. He noted that the unemployment rate in Nigeria is too high and there is a need for people to embrace entrepreneurship. Mr. Okeke extensively dissected the problems in teaching business. He proffered solutions to the challenges facing entrepreneurs.
Various resource persons shared knowledge with the participants on the Beauty industry, Fashion industry, Real estate, Agriculture, Transportation, Food and beverages amongst others.
Speaking shortly after the event, Miss Blessing Machie a participant in the fashion session thanked the organisers for the training, adding that it is greatly appreciated and will be helpful as she looks forward to set up a fashion design shop in the coming weeks.
Another participant, Chinenye Okafor who participated in the cosmetology session said that she picked interest when she noticed that Senator Ekwunife is one of the sponsors, noting that the Senator has been facilitating similar programmes and trainings for her constituents in the past. She described the training as enriching and interesting for young entrepreneurs.
The high point of the event was a presentation where start ups and entrepreneurs were trained on how to build a sustainable business.
